During the registration period for a term students may find the class they are trying to add to their schedule is full. If a class is full, students may register for the waitlist until the waitlist fills. Students cannot be on the waitlist for a class and register for a different section of the same class.
Student Services maintains waitlists during the registration period for a term and moves students from a waitlist into a class as space becomes available. If a student is moved from a waitlist into a class, Student Services will send an email advising the student to check their schedule.
Once classes begin students may seek permission from an instructor to join a class that is full. Through the end of the first week of classes instructors may give a student permission to register in a class that is full or for a waitlisted student to add the class. The instructor must facilitate this process with both the Dean of Instruction and Student Services.
