The entrance exam for the OCCC Nursing Program is the (TEAS V) Test of Essential Academic Skills

Facts about the TEASV Exam

The TEAS exam is a computer based test:

All individuals preparing to take the TEAS test must create an ATI account prior to the day of their test @ https://www.atitesting.com/solutions/prenursingschool/teas.aspx

Time Limit is 209 minutes. Four-option multiple-choice with 170 total questions. Calculators may NOT be used for the test. Test results available 48 hours after completion of the test.

Transcripts for TEAS V

If you have the TEAS V exam before and would like to use those scores you may do so by requesting a transcript from ATI at the following website

Application Point Calculation for the TEAS V:

ATI Score:

90.7% and above: 90 points

78% to 90.6%: 80 points

58.7% to 77.5%: 70 points

41.3% to 58.6%: 40 points

Less than 41.2%: 10 points

 

Taking the TEAS V at a different site than OCCC

If you want to take the TEAS exam out of state you will need to be make arrangements through a Community College or University secured testing center. Please have the testing center contact the OCCC Nursing Department directly for testing information. Study Guide and Practice Tests for the TEAS V Exam

There are study guides and practice exams available through ATI to help you prepare for the exam.

The OCCC Nursing Department has purchased four (Version V) - ATI Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS V) Study Manuals and they will be on reserve  at the OCCC  Central Campus Library starting 4/1/2013
